Our library provides a social space to meet, collaborate, research, learn, share, and relax. The staff work to develop a reading culture and raise the levels of information literacy across the school by leading students through processes which empower them to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers and skillful, efficient and discerning researchers.

The Oliver library management system, together with the ACEN digital library provide 24/7 access to a wealth of authentic, authoritative, age appropriate resources to specifically meet student and staff needs.

Resources include fiction and non-fiction books, ebooks, audiobooks, videos, journals, encyclopaedias, articles, websites, learning objects, CDs and DVDs.

Our library is a space for students and staff to meet and collaborate. The library has flexible working spaces and an array of fiction and non-fiction books. Whether students are needing a place for intensive research or a haven to relax and read, the library can meet their needs.

Other opportunities to promote the value of reading and literacy include:

  • participation in the NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC)
  • National Simultaneous Story time (NSS)
  • Book Week activities such as author visits and a book fair
